Harvey Lederman is a philosopher with a broad array of interests in contemporary and historical philosophy. He has written extensively on the philosophical foundations of decision and game theory, and, more recently, on topics in social choice theory. Before becoming interested in these contemporary topics, Lederman’s first two degrees were in Classics, and his first research paper was on Aristotle’s theory of time. More recently, he has focused his historical attention on the relationship between knowledge and virtue in Confucian thought from the first third of the 16th Century.
