Matthew Ziemnicki
Director of Development - Major Gifts
Matthew Ziemnicki, a Houston native and graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, serves as Director of Development for the School of Civic Leadership. In this role, he partners with donors, alumni, and campus leaders to secure philanthropic support for academic programs, student scholarships, and long-term institutional priorities that advance the school’s mission.
Matthew holds a Master of Business Administration from Louisiana State University where he focused on international business and entrepreneurship. Matthew brings a strategic, donor‑centered approach to fundraising. Prior to his current role, he has worked with University of Texas Athletics, the Houston Astros, and Dell Technologies where he gained experience engaging supporters and advancing philanthropic initiatives within a highly visible, mission‑driven environment. His combined background in athletics and academics informs his ability to build meaningful partnerships, align donor interests with institutional goals, and steward investments that strengthen civic leadership education and impact.
