Student Scholarship Opportunities for the School of Civic Leadership
The School of Civic Leadership offers three scholarship opportunities to our 2025-2026 incoming class. The three scholarship funds, Civitatis, Praesidium, and Disciplina, take their names from the University seal and reflect the virtues Civics Honors majors will cultivate: civic responsibility, moral leadership, and practical wisdom.
The school will award the Civitatis Scholarship ($4,000) to five outstanding incoming first year students whose record of academic achievement and civic responsibility indicate a distinctive capacity to excel in the Civics Honors major. The School of Civic Leadership will renew this award annually for recipients who are in good standing in the Civics Honors major and maintain a 3.5 GPA.
The school will award the Praesidium Scholarship ($2,500) and Disciplina Scholarship ($1,500) to 35 incoming first-year students based on need and merit. Recipients in good standing in the Civics Honors major will be eligible to reapply for the scholarship in subsequent years.
The School of Civic Leadership will award scholarships based on the prospective student’s application to the major in Civics Honors in the University of Texas at Austin’s School of Civic Leadership.
Award letters will be mailed out mid-March 2025. The acceptance deadline is May 1st.
