Sarah Beth Kitch

Sarah Beth V. Kitch is associate dean for undergraduate studies and associate professor of instruction in the School of Civic Leadership. An award-winning teacher, she invites students into intentional opportunities to reflect on the task of being human. Her teaching and research interests include American political thought, African American political thought, political theology, and ethics. 

Previously, Kitch taught at St. Agnes Academy in Houston, served as assistant professor at the University of Missouri and visiting assistant professor at Northern Illinois University, was the Thomas W. Smith Postdoctoral Research Associate in Religion and PublicLife at Princeton University, and taught political science at Louisiana State University. Her writing has appeared in the Journal of Church and State, the American Journal of Political Science, Law & Liberty, and Starting Points.
