Dana Stauffer

Dana Jalbert Stauffer is codirector of the Jefferson Center for the Study of Core Texts and Ideas. She specializes in political theory, with particular interests in classical political thought, the thought of Alexis de Tocqueville, and politics and drama. She teaches courses on ancient political thought, American political thought, and politics and literature.
Before coming to the University of Texas, Stauffer taught at Kenyon College. Her work has appeared in journals including the Review of Politics, Political Science Reviewer, Journal of Politics, and the American Political Science Review.
