Megan Perry
Postdoctoral Fellow
Megan Renz Perry is a postdoctoral fellow at the School of Civic Leadership. She works principally on the intellectual and political history of northwestern European cultures in the early Middle Ages. In so doing she engages early western manuscripts and literary, philosophical, and historical texts in Latin and Old English. Her work has appeared in New Medieval Literatures. She is also interested in the history of birthing practices in premodernity and the institutions and ideas that supported maternal agency during parturition. She holds a Ph.D. in medieval studies from Yale University, as well as master’s degrees from Yale and the University of Kentucky.
