Anchored in a course on the American Constitutional Tradition, the Civic Leadership minor invites students to sample courses from the following areas:
Intellectual Foundations courses introduce students to the key questions of self-government.
Tools courses give students practices in the skills of leadership as they learn to read, write, think, speak, deliberate, and persuade.
Sample courses across three areas of study: Constitutionalism, Western Civilization, and Civic Leadership.
Courses in Constitutionalism offer sustained engagement with the central ideas and tensions of American constitutional self-government.
The major situates the American experiment in its intellectual context with courses that explore Western Civilization through philosophical, theological, and political sources from antiquity to today.
